Getting started with CPAP, step by step
Quick Answer
You need a sleep apnea diagnosis and an order from your doctor. We check your coverage, gather the paperwork your plan needs, and ship once requirements are met. Pick the path that fits you below.
Just diagnosed, no machine yet
Your doctor found sleep apnea and wants you on CPAP. Here's what happens from here.
- 1
Tell us about your coverage
Enroll online in about 10 minutes. We check your Medicare or insurance plan before anything ships.
- 2
We get the paperwork from your doctor
With your permission, we request the order, sleep test and visit notes your plan asks for.
- 3
Your machine and mask arrive
Once your plan's requirements are met, we ship to your door with setup help.
- 4
Your 12-week trial
Medicare looks for use of at least 4 hours a night on 70% of nights in a 30-day stretch, and a follow-up visit with your doctor between days 31 and 91. Many private plans have similar checks.
- 5
Ongoing supplies
After that, masks, cushions, tubing and filters are replaced on your plan's schedule. We remind you before each one.
